The first year my daughter went to Camp Gilboa she cried when she got on the bus to go. When she returned that first year and every year after, she cried getting off the bus and wanted to go "home", back to Camp Gilboa. The program emphasizes the acceptance and self worth of each camper and enables friendships within and across the age groups that create a quality of experience that can last a lifetime. Kids who may feel ostracized during the year find inclusion and acceptance at Camp Gilboa and all campers can benefit and grow in ways that contribute to their self-esteem, creativity, and appreciation of the world around them.
