Announcing Gilboa's ROSH for Summer 2026!

Hello Gilboa, 

It is me, Shosh, your Rosh Gilboa 2026. I would like to thank all my friends, family, coworkers, mentors, and my community for their roles in helping me reach this point. Love you guys, I wouldn’t be here without you. Especially you, Dad (Chair of the Board). This summer, I am so excited to take on the role of Rosh, mostly because it rhymes with Shosh… 

I am in Workshop 72, which makes this my 5th year working at Macheneh (camp). I previously served as Technical Director this past summer and as Madatz Madricha (C.I.T. counselor) in Summer 2024. Furthermore, I have been attending Gilboa since 2015, which makes this my twelfth summer (12th time is the charm!). I would not be who I am today without this place and every summer I have spent in this community. Summer is the time I feel I do the most growing, as I learn more about myself and how to be in community, as well as the world around me. 

I can’t wait to live, laugh, love, and learn with everyone this summer at my favorite place in the world. It’s going to be a good one!
