First Special Day of the Summer!

This week, we had Yom Meyuchad (special day) where camp turns into a completely different universe. Here's a description of the day from the vaad (committee) that planned it this year:

"This year we kicked off Yom Meyuchad by taking all the chanichim on a plane ride to Albania. We were feasting on classic airplane bites and everything seemed normal when suddenly, we had a visit from Felix Baumgartner (the Australian skydiver). Felix introduced himself and took the chanichim on a journey through the sky doing activities such as an egg-drop contest and paper airplane making.

After spending some time gliding through the sky, we landed in Cloud Kingdom, where the kids were greeted by the cloud nation. In the clouds, we had a cloud-themed fashion show and chuggim (electives), where the kids were able to select a certain cloud activity that stood out to them. One of the most popular ones was cloud spotting, where the chanichim had to pick out every cloud in the sky and describe it perfectly. 

As our tour of the cloud kingdom came to an end, the kids prepared for the big cloud water fight. We were having so much fun, but then the cloud nation alerted us that we couldn't stay in their home anymore since humans have caused too much harm to the earth and society. 

We were then banished to the underworld, where we were greeted by Hades, who told us we have to complete evil tasks to escape. This included activities like pushing a boulder with Sisyphus, untying an impossible knot, going to the dentist, and many more. But even though we had completed each task given to us, Hades still told us that we were stuck in the underworld, and he wouldn't let us go.

But when all hope seemed lost, Felix came to the rescue and promised us a way out. He told us that we would first have to convince all 15 of his mechanic friends to help fix the broken elevator back to Earth. After meeting with all of them and earning their trust, we were able to return back safe and sound, where we ate dirt cups (chocolate pudding, Oreos, and gummy worms) to reconnect to Earth!"
