Last Shabbat of the Summer!

On a typical Friday, we begin Shabbat by joining together at a special Hitkansut where we take pictures in our Shabbat clothes (see if you can spot all the siblings), sing songs, and break into Mishapachot (family) groups based on where we're from.

From our Mishpachot groups, we hold hands and walk to the dam as we sing "Sim Shalom" and "Don't Walk in Front of Me." At the dam, we sit in a big circle and listen to a kvutza (age group) sing a song and the Rosh tell a story. We officially welcome in Shabbat by facing the setting sun and singing "Shabbat HaMalka." After some hugs and more pictures, we go to everyone's favorite meal!

After dinner, we head outside for Shira (singing). The Bogrim (10th graders) lead all of Machaneh (camp) in classic camp songs.

After Shira, everyone has chofesh (free time) and gets changed for one of the highlights of camp, Rikkud (Israeli folk dancing)! We dance for hours and end the night ready for our Saturday morning sleep in.
