Meet Gilboa Leadership 2026!

Good Afternoon Gilboa Community,

We’re excited to introduce the leadership team for summer 2026—a group of madrichimot (counselors) who bring so much heart, talent, and intention to machaneh (camp). These are the people who will be shaping this summer's experience, guiding meaningful conversations, planning unforgettable moments, and helping create a space where every camper feels seen, supported, and inspired!

Here’s a quick hello from each of this year's amazing leadership team:

Shosh, Rosh (Camp Director):

My name is Shosh. I am the Rosh this summer. I have been going to Gilboa since 2015, making this my 12th summer spent at camp. I love to live, love, laugh, especially at Machaneh. I am beyond excited for this summer!

Gigi, Chinuch (Director of Education):

My name is Gigi weisberg. I grew up in SFV attending sleepaway camp at Alonim and Milken community high school. I got to nyu and met Shosh who convinced me to work at Gilboa! It’s been a dream ever since! I study the history of student protest and youth movements. This summer I am one half of the chinuch team working hard to rediscover our roots and instill the value of antifascism in our youth!

Cody, Chinuch (Director of Education):

Hi! I’m Cody and I’ll be one of your Rakazei Chinuch (director of education) this summer! This will be my ninth summer at Machaneh and my third on tzevet. Skiing in from CU Boulder and originally from Los Angeles I can’t wait to help facilitate the educational processes. If you don’t find me reading a text or writing a peula (educational program) I’ll be out enjoying our beautiful natural environment or playing cards. Reach out with any questions, or if you just wanna chat!

Miles, Techni (Technical Director):

Hi, I’m Miles and I’ll be the Technical Director (“Techni”) this summer at Gilboa! This will be my seventh year at camp and my fourth year on Tzevet. Originally from LA, and now studying at UC Santa Cruz (go slugs!), I love the outdoors and am looking forward to taking care of our beautiful site with you all. I am so excited for this summer and please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Laila, Melovah (Director of Camper Wellbeing):

I started going to Gilboa in 2013, and have been on tzevet since 2023! I am a junior at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo studying Animal Science. You'll find me at camp lying in the meadow or on a rock listening to music (come join me!). I have truly loved growing up at Gilboa and cannot wait to create wonderful memories for you all this summer as melovah.

Guy, Vatik (Director of Vatik):

My name is Guy Timor, I have been going to Gilboa as a chanich since 2014 and have been working on tzevet since 2023. I am from Los Angeles and currently study in New York City. I am super excited to see everyone this summer and get back to our beautiful campsite!

Eli, Rosh Mitbach (Kitchen Manager):

Hi! My name is Eli Grabia and I'll be one of the Roshei Mitbach (kitchen managers) for summer 2026! A little about me: I love art and music - I draw, paint, and work in many other mediums, play guitar, sing, and have been learning banjo as well! I've been coming to camp since 2017, and heading into my 10th summer, I'm so excited to bring the leadership skills this community has shaped in me to the kitchen. This summer, my two co-Roshei and I will be leading our team, managing kitchen upkeep, and preparing three meals and three snacks a day for chanichimot and tzevet!
