Meet our New Assistant Director of Programs and Operations, Joe!

Joe Schiff lives in Idyllwild, California with his wife Liana and dog Daisy.  His love of Judaism and camp has led him to various camps like Ramah, Eden Village West and finally to the wonderful community that is Gilboa!  Joe has a love of all things outdoors.  You can often find him backpacking, rock climbing or mountain biking. Joe has done a lot of outdoor education and leadership with companies like Outward Bound.  He also has a deep love and passion for Judaism.  He has spent several years studying Torah in Jerusalem at Ohr Somayach and Pardes. On Shabbat, you can often find Joe either chilling in a hammock, playing board games, or singing Shabbat zmirot at the top of his lungs.  Joe also fondly refers to himself as a big nerd.  He loves games of all kinds, including but not limited to Dungeons and Dragons as well as Chess. He can’t wait to meet every single person in the Gilboa community, so if you see him, come say hi!
