Hello Gilboa family and friends!
The first of this Monday’s special events, Yom Kvutzah, is a day dedicated to spending time with your Kvutzah (age group)!
I spent the day with Bonimot (rising 9th graders) as they prepared for their camp-wide event, Bonimot Idol. For Yom Kvutzah, they meditated before going on a rage-room-esque rampage on broken tables and boxes, and finished their fun off with a slip-n-slide! Afterwards, the rest of the day was spent getting ready for their top secret special night…
Each summer the Bonimot take charge and plan an evening of American Idol-style showdowns: Bonimot Idol! This year, the theme was “Dinner Party,” or so we thought… A sudden murder takes place, and the real theme is revealed to be Clue! Their skits followed different party guests as two detectives attempted to figure out the mystery, with a surprising plot twist at the end, where after the murderer was revealed, a secret mastermind stepped forward to claim the estate’s wealth over dozens of guests murdered, as well as cooks and security guards.
Kvutzot had spent the day choreographing their own original dances to perform in front of the whole camp, and as the mystery moved through the different rooms of the Clue board, each age group had a chance to compete with some great performances. Even the Tzevet (counselors) had a dance of their own to compete with! Ultimately, the Madatz (CITs) took the cake as the winners!
