The Open house will be on Sunday May 31 from 10 am - 1 pm. You are welcome to come for any portion of that time! We will have lunch together, tour Camp Gilboa, and meet both long-time community members and other new families.
Who’s invited to our Open House? Any prospective or new Gilboa families are welcome to join and experience a day at camp. (Or experienced families who have never visited camp and can’t stay for the full Work Weekend are also welcome.) This is a wonderful opportunity for first-time campers to experience and gain familiarity with Gilboa’s campsite. Camp always feels a little more like home during the summer when campers have visited beforehand. Come take a tour, have some lunch, enjoy nature, and ask us your questions about camp!
Meals: If you come early (9:00-10:00am), we’ll have some vegetarian breakfast options available to munch while you hang out and chat. There will be snacks A vegetarian lunch (and snacks!) will be provided at 12:30. Lunch will include lots of kid-friendly food, coffee and tea, and alternatives for people with dietary restrictions. Please indicate any restrictions and allergies on your registration form below.
Open House Schedule for Sunday:
9:00-10:00am: Arrival, check-in, munch on some breakfast, relax and enjoy the vibes
10:00am-12:30pm: Camp tour & activities block (ice breaker, hiking, kayaking, fun work project, Q&A)
12:30-1:00pm: Lunch
We know it’s a shlep to get to Big Bear - if you want to visit during the weekend but can’t make it 10-1pm Sunday, get in touch!
