Visitors Day Recap and 2027 Registration!
Visitors Day 2026 was such a success! Our guests enjoyed picnic lunches with their campers, kayaking on Bluff Lake, quality time with their Kvutzot, and a lively Rikkud and Hitkansut before departing revitalized and reconnected to the Gilboa, and greater Habonim Dror, community. Tiyul and Bonim Idol
On Wednesday, our chanichim (campers) left for their overnight tiyul (hike). They hiked the trails of Big Bear and spent the night sleeping under the stars. Once they arrived back at Gilboa on Thursday, everyone jumped into action to plan for Bonim Idol - our annual kvutza (age group) dance competition planned and run by the Bonim. First Special Day of the Summer!
This week, we had Yom Meyuchad (special day) where camp turns into a completely different universe. We had a lovely first Shabbat at machaneh! Some highlights included going to the lake, singing, eating a yummy Shabbat dinner, doing rikkud (Israeli folk dance), and musicale and medura (talent shows).

Yom Kvutza Recap!
On Wednesday, each kvutza participated in Yom Kvutza, a day of fun and bonding for the whole age group. The Shomrim wrote some reflections about what they did and their favorite parts of the day! Some highlights from the other kvutzot included swimming, making sculptures out of butter, and trivia!

First Day of Machaneh!
Yesterday, we welcomed all of our First Session chanichim (campers) to machaneh (camp)! After the dust settled, everyone met with their kvutzot (age groups), unpacked their stuff, and got to know their madrichim (counselors). We signed up for chuggim (electives) and avodah groups (chore groups), and ended the day doing fun, bonding activities with our kvutzot.
